Drugs Testing Laboratory
Drugs Control Department is equipped with Four Government Drug Testing Laboratories situated at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Pathanamthitta Districts. All the laboratories are technically competent and committed to monitor the quality standards of drugs and cosmetics.
Drugs Testing Laboratory, Thiruvananthapuram and Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory, Ernakulam are accredited by NABL (National Accreditation Board for testing & Calibration of Laboratories) in Biological and Chemical field.
Allopathy/Ayurveda/Homeopathic Drugs, Cosmetics are being analyzed in the laboratories. Apart from the samples collected for quality control analysis by the enforcement wing of the Department, samples received from Hon. Court, Railway, Customs, Kerala Medical Services Corporation are also subjected to quality control analysis. Approximately 11,500 samples are being analyzed in the laboratories annually.
NABL accredited laboratories are equipped with modern and sophisticated facilities- UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, HPLC, Gas Chromatography, ICP-OES, FT-IR, GCMS, AAS, Polarimeter etc.
The services of the all the laboratories can be availed by the public on payment of the prescribed fee fixed by the Government.

1) Application in Form 14A
2) Original Copy of Treasury Chalan after remitting requisite fee
